Boring Class

This was inspired by something I read. And “History of Veterinarian Medicine” class.

To take a nap
With notes in my lap
Would be a marvelous joy
But the teacher it seems
Is invading my dreams
And frowns down on my restful ploy

So I’ll open my eyes
To don my disguise
Of giving my rapt attention
While the subject, I fear
Never enters my ear
Thus circumventing retention
