Sage: It's always hard to leave friends, or have them leave you. The internet makes it much easier, I think, to keep in touch. I'm not much of a phone talker. More of a writer. If you ever get any music worked out, I'd love to hear the whole thing. I'm assuming the "technology" you're talking about is the internet/email/messageboards/etc.? If that's the case, you might think about being slightly more specific; instead of saying "technology's made it possible to be a heartbeat away," maybe something more along the lines of "her words on the screen make it seem like she's just a heartbeat away.
