The Monkey Exhibit

A quick Thank You to Andy and Cousin Dave for breathing some life into The Monkey Exhibit. I wither without comments, like a plant without water.

Thursday, October 6th started off midmorning as we left Delaware. We drove until we were low on gas and rather hungry. I was holding out for Popeyes and Krissy was silently praying that one would appear soon. We eventually found one while we still had some gas left. We filled our bellies and our gas tank and headed to the interstate to complete our driving.

We arrived in Greensboro, North Carolina around 3:30 PM on Thursday. We were able to check right into our room. The room was worth the money…finally. It seems that every vacation in the past we have been sorely disappointed with our lodging. Springhill Suites was a great place to stay. The room was broken up into two sections with desk, couch, chair, mini-fridge, and sink in one section and bed, bath, vanity in the other section. There was plenty of room to stretch out, relax and unpack all our luggage.

We were tired from the two days of driving and decided to call it a short night. We went to dinner at a place we have never heard of before, O’Charley’s. The restaurant was nice. I had a great steak…one of the best I’ve had. We headed back to the hotel and relaxed for the rest of the night.
