Real Work Begins

My wife returned to school yesterday. This means that, until December…Christmas, pretty much, she gets to do the homework and I get to do the housework. I’m not sure who got the better end of that deal. I don’t miss doing homework, though, mostly because there’s always a list of other things I’d like to be doing. Housework isn’t usually on the list…
So last night I got to go grocery shopping all by my lonesome. This is not a big deal to me; shopping is actually quicker when I’m alone. It’s always fun to have company, though. The cashier even recognized the fact that I was alone this time. She did this after I opened up the converstation asking her if she could separate my receipt into “good” and “junk” food categories. The service industry isn’t always as accomodating as it would have you believe, by the way.
After sorting recyclables for pickup today, bagging returnables that have been overflowing the garage for months, shopping and doing dishes, I retired to my office to sneak a little time for myself. I started working on that list of things I’d rather be doing instead of homework.
Later.

Shopping is always easier and quicker without women!

Nice save. I will remember that next time I want to go shopping. It will be FUN!!
I would like to add that I’m not 100% free of housework. This past weekend I cleaned the bathroom (Roger’s only -will not do), did 3 loads of laudry, and vaccumed and washed the floors.

Yeah, you’ve been hesitant to dive in full-force to your studies!
