The deal is that your camera has too weak of a MP for close up pictures (such as those of miniatures) to not be blury. The higher the MP of a camera the more croping and zooming can be done with a phote with out losing resolution. We too discovered this when we upgraded from a 4.1 to a 6.1. We also went from HP to Kodak brand cameras. We've noticed a huge difference in the quality of the photos we have taken and our ability to do close potraits or croping. So I guess what I am trying to say is that your camera is a weak and pitiful thing. Enjoy. :)

Uhhh, 3.2 MP.

I tried various picture taking methods. I tried futher away, both with and without the flash, using lighting without the flash, and closer up with and without the flash. I don't know what the deal is.

What do you have for a digital camera? Depending on the MP a close up picture won't look too hot. We have a 6.1MP that is very good.
