Roadside Memorials

Hey, what’s up with these roadside shrine/memorial things that families put up on the spot where people have died from an accident? They have flowers, garlands, even some crosses. Isn’t that what a grave is for?

I see it as a reminder. Slow Down. Pay Attention. Drive Safe and buckle up.

    Then so be it.

On a more morbid note: The proliferation of all these roadside memorials are distracting for drivers and divert their attention from driving thereby causing more accidents and then more memorials all in the same area and suddenly the area become known as a “dangerous turn” or a “constantly slick area of road”. I stand by Roger’s original thought. . . leave it at the cemetery.
