Can we stop pretending there are no rules? Can we stop mistaking freedom for anarchy and everyone doing whatever is right in their own eyes?
Thank you.

is there a backstory here?

There is something that precipitated the general idea here, but don’t you think you could apply it to any of dozens of social interactions that occur throughout your normal week? Or things you hear about in the news, etc ?

Yes your inmates, er patrons, have found out that there are rules. Let’s see if they’ll remember the lesson after parole is over.

Well they find out there are rules (for society) and then they blame everyone but themselves for their actions. Most common is that some one “ratted” them out e.g. girlfriend, parent, co-defendant and it isn’t their fault. Ohhh how I hate the stupidity of inmates!!!
