It always surprises me when one of my pens runs out of ink. Sounds a little wierd, doesn’t it? I think this is because I, and I’m assuming most other people, too, end up losing my pens or giving them away before all the ink is used.
On the same line of [...]

The interstate on-ramp by my house is circular, with a nice, lush, green hill in the middle. In this hill live groundhogs. I see them every morning on my way to work, little brown creatures on the green grass foraging for food.
The groundhogs dig their tunnels into the hill to form a [...]

Sometime late last week or earlier this week I was thinking about football. Probably because I’m reading a fantasy-football type book. Anyway, I tell people every once in a while that I still have 4 years of college eligibility left because I didn’t play in college. I realize that, at 30 years [...]

I just had it at 8:00 this morning. I think it went well. I was interviewed by my fellow supervisors. It was my second out of at least three. The third interview is with the other managers under the same director.
We’ll see!

My nights have become a blur of preparing supper, cleaning up the house, reading a bit, maybe scanning a blog or two, and helping my wife with her homework if she needs it. It is natural for me to be helpful…to a point. It’s not natural for me to be giving all my [...]

I’ve got to work on my act.
You Are Fozzie Bear
“Wocka! Wocka!”
You’re the life of the party, and you love making people crack up.
If only your routine didn’t always bomb!
You may find more groans than laughs, but always keep the jokes coming.

I spent some time last night at my computer desk, cleaning up. I had many receipts to enter into my Money program and my own personal money spreadsheet (which I just remembered that I didn’t do…and it will be very hard to backtrack…)
I also tried to enter my Mountain Dew caps in the Pepsi [...]

It is flying by mercilessly, I believe.
I feel pretty bad this week. Sinus problems, lung problems, and lack of energy. This makes me just want to curl up in bed when I am home. It makes me want to be at home the entire time I’m at work. And I can’t [...]

Out of the darkness
He sprang into place
Running from something
Pained look on his face
Out of the darkness
He slipped into view
How long had he been there?
What did he do?
Out of the gloom
Out of despair
Off of the cliff
And out into air
Out of the darkness
But not into light
What they’ve told you is true
Two wrongs don’t make it right
Out of [...]

To wrap up, our foray into Canadian territory was a success. I have observed these odd, peaceful people in their natural environment. Their pasttime of “mudding” around the property, and their battlecry of “Git ‘r Done” are naught to be feared by our troops. We were even handed a red-tinted rock from their odd terrain, [...]

Some interesting facts about Canadians are:
A Canadian rolls some dung into a ball. Then it digs its front legs into the ground and uses its back legs to push the ball of dung.
A land of vast distances and rich natural resources, Canada became a self-governing dominion in 1867 while retaining ties to the British crown…which [...]

This coming Saturday I will be infiltrating…uh, visiting Canada. I head across enemy lines, putting not only myself in danger but my lovely wife as well. We are fully prepared to bluff our way past the palace guard…uh, border patrol…with nothing but a seemingly ordinary Ford Taurus and driver’s licences. Silly Canadians.
We will instill ourselves [...]
