I find myself in the classroom waiting for my teacher and the rest of the class to trickle in. This room is apparently also used to teach younger kids. There are signs on the wall reading “Do What’s Right”, You can do ANYTHING you put your mind to”, and “Just as long as you do your best”.
The first sign really catches my eye. “Do What’s Right”, It strangely comforts me. As long as there is a “Right” (and therefore also a wrong) then God must exist (see C.S. Lewis’ Mere Christianity or write me if you have questions on this). And this is being taught to yet another generation. Right exists.
Now, I’m sure that the children are not taught “there is a right, therefore there is a God.” However, if they have it instilled in their minds that there is a Right and Wrong, it will be that much easier to teach them about God later.
I just pray that when the time comes, someone is there to take these young children to the next step.
